Organs of the Society
A structure balancing academic leadership, operational continuity, and member representation across clusters.
General Assembly
The supreme body of all members. Approves statutes, elects officers, ratifies major decisions.
Meets: annually.
Executive Council
Strategic direction and oversight; alignment across SIGs, publications, and clusters.
Composition: President, VPs, Secretary, Treasurer, Members-at-large.
Steering Committee (Conferences)
Coordinates clusters, appoints chairs, standardizes quality, ensures continuity.
Scope: ICONS / ICDTDE clusters.
Publications Committee
Oversees proceedings relationships and the IJDTDE journal, including ethics.
Scope: proceedings, journal, special issues.
SIG Council
Coordinates SIGs, approves proposals, supports plans, promotes collaboration.
Composition: SIG Chairs + Coordinator.
Ethics & Integrity Committee
Research integrity, COI management, misconduct handling, transparent procedures.
Scope: activities, conferences, publications.
Transparency, ethics & good practice
Clear policies that protect research integrity, ensure fairness, and build trust.
Conflict of Interest
Officers, editors, chairs, and reviewers disclose COIs and recuse as needed.
Research integrity
Misconduct handling for conferences and publications (allegations → review → decision).
Appeals & complaints
Transparent route for appeals with documented outcomes.
Diversity & inclusion
International balance in committees and leadership; respectful conduct policy.
Data & reproducibility
Encourages data/code availability statements, repositories, reproducible workflows.
Financial transparency
Annual financial statement covering fees, sponsorships, and expenditures.
Terms
Officers: 2-year terms (renewable once). SIG Chairs: 1–2 years. Members-at-Large: staggered for continuity.
Elections
Held by the General Assembly (online voting allowed). Candidates nominated by members and validated for eligibility and COI.
Succession & continuity
Supported through staggered terms, documented procedures, and a stable administrative secretariat.
